Ours to Destroy
Self-titled CD
'Ours to Destroy'

A collection of interesting and quirky songs and song melody, comprised by a
slew of political ideals, and a very eclectic mix of genres. The album is a
caldron of mixed melodies and chopped riffs, spiced with samples and diversified
lyrical melodies. A stew of influences stretches from the strange Tom Waits
alternative folk, to Beck’s intense lyrical notions.
Categorizing this album is
nearly impossible, but the message is clear in their anarchist battle with
societal mishaps, that they make it known that they are a separation from the
mainstream, and a very nice relief from the mainstreams corporate
conglomeration.
Tr. 1 Checkmate - Very upbeat and powerful chorus built up by a very
driving and interesting chorus
Tr. 8 Exorcising Demons - More laid back track with great ambient noise
layering the background of a great lyrical melody
Tr. 12 Unglued - Great acoustic track with a great production producing
interesting guitar lines and melodies

Perhaps the lyrics to one of his songs sums it up: “So don’t be afraid to look
for what’s different/A spot to rebel a moment to unite/Under the same idea”.
